Importance of Participating In Extra Curricular Activities in School

We are sure you must have heard this adage before, and we'd like to take this opportunity to point out that it definitely holds a whole lot of relevance. While academic excellence is of primary concern for almost all parents and a handful of students, the importance of extra - curricular activities and leading an active school life cannot be undermined.


When we say active, we don't just mean sports, but active intellectually as well cognitively. An all-immersive art / sculpture class, a theatre program, being a part of the debate team.. all these activities/programs go a long way in shaping the personality, temperament and future of the child.

A skill that is of paramount importance among adults! And what could be better than to learn this skill when one is young. Participating in multiple activities, balancing studies with hobbies is a great way to learn time management and to incorporate the same in daily life.


5. Knowing What You Love!


There's no way one will know what they love to do until they do it. Hence, with a view to start early in life, think of participating in extra curricular activities as a great way of knowing and understanding what you love to do!
